THey're both viable, and it all depends on the anime adaption too. Some things are cut or added to it's benefit, as well as it's detriment

I agree with DredgenSun! Both are viable methods. The story telling is up to the author and illustrator and the way they put the story together. This is similar to cartoon/real movies. They both are viable platforms. Writers play a big part, as well as the actors, script, and editors.

Manga with respect to the drama and anime with respect to the quality of graphics, although it also depends on the production company in charge.

I have seen manga and anime, in the anime it cuts many parts, in the manga it is more complete, it is a good complement to see the manga and then the anime even if you already know what the ending will be
