In February 2026, the Harvard University (harvard.edu) a private Ivy League research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts, suffered a data breach caused by the @ShinyHunters group, resulting in the compromise of 216,721 rows of user data along with over 1000 internal documents. When Harvard University failed to meet the ransom demands, the group released the data on February 4, 2026. This dataset contains the Private User Data and Private Internal Documents that were stolen and are 5.06 GB in size when decompressed (0.99 GB compressed).

 

Compromised data: Names, Email addresses, Home addresses, Business addresses, Phone numbers, Donation history, Lifetime giving totals, Wealth categorizations, Admissions-related notes, Family relationships, Event attendance records, Biographical profiles, Internal strategy memos, Legal/Gift agreements, and Internal Documents
