On October 3, 2025, the notorious cybercrime group @ShinyHunters announced they had executed a cyberattack against Engie Resources (Plymouth) (engieresources.com), a leading energy provider in the United States. The threat actors have indicated that sensitive data will be released if their demands are not met. On October 10, the data was publicly released and the leak affected over 537k records. The records included over 25k unique email addresses, dates of birth, names, phone numbers, physical addresses and social media profiles.
Compromised data: Dates of birth, Email addresses, Names, Phone numbers, Physical addresses, Social media profiles
