It depends to be honest. People spend thousands on OPSEC services but end up making dumb mistakes which can be seen by any braindead glowie, so I think the better solution would be a balance between spending a small bit, working on your threat model and much more.

True, I was mainly wondering like what are the necessities as in a VPN, RDP and other pieces of software that you will need to stay anonymous ?

It has to depend upon a lot of things, usually for onion and others, Whonix or Tails OS on a separate system would suffice. VPN can be Mullvad and RDP maybe something that is anonymous and accepts monero.

You don't need to pay for anything basically, just use TOR, encrypt your laptops and other devices and common sense and you'll be fine. If you need a trap phone, buy a prepaid.
