The Far Cry source code leak has got me wondering what other major games have had their source codes leaked after publishing. Can anyone think of major games in the past that have had their code published? Would be interested to see their coding practices (or lack thereof).

From what I remember, Watch Dogs: Legion, The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Half Life 2, Fall Guys, Duke Nukem, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, some file from GTA V, and parts of the Frostbite engine. Also a lot of Nintendo stuff in the 4chan gigaleak.

I remember reading a pod-cast about a group that THAT'S ALL THEY DID. They just wanted access to games before any one else.

They got the credentials of some Ubisoft (?) dev and gained access. Then also to Sony. And that's what they used all their time/money for. And then they did jail-time.

A bunch of n64 source code was leaked awhile ago. Ocarina of Time was fully decompiled into readable code.

Modders made a PC version called Ship of harkinian that has alot of QoL fixes
