Why do you find it complicated to use? Personally, I find it quite simple; it executes and that's it.

But how many potential victims do actually use telegram for windows? Is there a way of finding out what client someone is using or would that require some of those crazy statistical models of response times, etc?

That is actually a good question.

I guess some previous social engineering / fingerprinting is needed.
