How do you convince yourself that you've got the right person?
Every time I have to break out my (close to nonexistent) OSINT skills I always get stuck and start wondering if I even got the right person. How do you gauge the quality of your investigative efforts?

This is a serious question, and a problem I face on a regular basis. If anyone happens to reply, I WILL appreciate it.

This is a serious question, and a problem I face on a regular basis. If anyone happens to reply, I WILL appreciate it.

I usually try and cross reference information from multiple sources to validate if I have the right person. For example, if I suspect a person is living in an area and I have found what county they live in, I will try verify that with whats in the image e.g street signs, logos on bins, with known locations of the person obtained from social media or from social media of their family or friends.

Additionally, if you are trying to gain information about someone who you might have a mutual friend or a mutual-mutial friend in, this might be easier as you could get some intel on things like what they do, their location/work, etc.

Google dorks are good. I need to utilize them more. They can be very powerful
